confusing title
[edit]Could we maybe change the title of this to say "Graveyard Shift (story)", since the only difference between this and a real Graveyard shift is a capitol or lower case 'S'. Kenji000 (talk) 13:48, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
A bit of trivia...
[edit]This story may have been part of the inspiration for some recently-introduced Dungeons & Dragons monsters known as "rylkar." —Qit el-Remel (talk) 11:57, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
"Armored rats, etc"
[edit]"There are large, armored rats; albino, weasel-like rats that can climb up walls or burrow through the ground; and bat-like rats that have evolved to pterosaurian sizes."
Where does this information come from? I just read the short story and there's literally no mention of "armored" rats, weasel-like rats, nor are there any albino rats. The flying rats were kind of big, but not pterosaurian. Is this some back-of-the-book blurb that's been copied over here from some old edition or magazine? 31.208.86.80 (talk) 19:55, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, I’d be curious to know the source too. I’ve recently read the story, and that passage is not in the 1st U.S. edition hardback … nor is it anywhere on the dust jacket. Poetic Licenses should be revoked here! 75.106.32.81 (talk) 22:00, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
