[edit]I realize that Gene Savoy is a controversial figure but the criticism here is tendentious and completely unsupported by references. Unless someone does a better job of that, I feel that the information needs to be changed to a more verifiable position.Mumblio 07:43, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

This article definitely needs a rewrite. The MSNBC article cited is no longer available. Savoy's AEFOSC teams have made five forays into this area accompanied by Peruvian archaeologists. Formal reports have been made. These are the references that should be cited in this article.
