"useful lower order batsman"?
[edit]I wonder whether that might be just a little strong for a player with a f-c average of just under 13 and a top score of 41? Granted, he's not a complete mug, but he generally bats at no. 10 for Durham and "useful lower order batsman" suggests to me someone a little bit more accomplished. For comparison, Ashley Giles averaged in the mid-20s in f-c cricket. Loganberry (Talk) 11:47, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
- Well Cricinfo describes him as that but as you say his first-class record isn't impressive and he came in after Jimmy Anderson today, Graeme Swann/Tim Bresnan (guys with FC hundreds) would fit my idea of a useful lower order batsman. Lower order batsman to me is a number eight or nine so instead of removing useful I switched the wording to tail-end batsman. --Jpeeling (talk) 20:41, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- Sounds fine to me. Loganberry (Talk) 23:12, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
"Napoli FC"?
[edit]What is the source for the napoli fc story? is twitter the only source for this?? (http://twitter.com/Swannyg66/status/7162369441 - Graeme Swann and http://twitter.com/JimmyAnderson9/status/7162328564 Jimmy Anderson)
or has it been reported somewhere? Without citations it shouldnt be here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.148.73.20 (talk) 21:55, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- It looks like it as Google turns up only a handful of hits, and those point back to twitter. It's not good enough really, so I've removed it until a better source can be provided. Nev1 (talk) 22:01, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Pronounciation
[edit]I believe his last name is correctly pronounced A-Nions, but I don't know how to add an IPA--MartinUK (talk) 10:47, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
