bad title

[edit]

The generic title "Croatian State Government" is a bad idea, because http://scholar.google.hr/scholar?q=%22Croatian+State+Government%22 gives me 1 relevant hit for NDH and 4 hits effectively meant for Croatian Government. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 12:06, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

https://www.google.com/search?q=%22Croatian+State+Government%22&btnG=Pretra%C5%BEi+knjige&tbm=bks&tbo=1&hl=hr It's acctualy good title. And you can't make a decision with 4 results versus 1. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wustenfuchs (talkcontribs) 14:02, 10 March 2012‎
There I see 5 references to the canonical phrase with the NDH meaning, 4 lowercased references to the NDH meaning, and 1 lowercased reference to the SRH meaning, and finally one that can't be read. Granted, that sample clearly favors the NDH, but the total is still just 11 - it's in minority compared to the phrase:
http://www.google.hr/search?tbm=bks&q=%22Government+of+the+Independent+State+of+Croatia%22 - on the 1st page, it says "around 2,170 results" (compared to "around 170" for the former search) while on the 8th page, it says 68 results.
Consequently, I see little reason there to promote Ustasha phraseology any more than is strictly necessary. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 17:49, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And, as for the general ambiguity, the general search:
http://www.google.hr/search?hl=hr&q=%22Croatian+State+Government%22+-wiki&pws=0
The third hit is some sort of a mistake, and the fourth, sixth, eighth and tenth hits are for the modern-day government, while the rest references NDH (a fair bit of it is random forums). Hence, there is no apparent proof that the NDH meaning is the primary topic for the term. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 17:57, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
there are some other issues here that relate to the title of the article. Firstly, this article relates to two named governments (the short-term interim 'Leadership' and the 'Croatian State Government') It also talks about a Council and a government-in-exile after the war. The government-in-exile is clearly a POV fiction from the minds of Pavelic and his remaining cronies, as the 'puppet state' the Germans created in 1941 was dissolved in May 1945. It also needs to reflect the fact that the real government of the NDH was Main Ustasha Headquarters, and mention the puppet Sabor that was convoked but had no influence on events. It seems to me that the article title best remains as it is, and the article should be re-structured to reflect the realities of the Ustasha government.
