This would be much better as a summary of the current structure of the government, with a history section referring to the earlier regimes. --Russ (talk) 11:33, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- True. This should never have been a dab page. Take a look at how the other states do it. —Viriditas | Talk 11:47, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, do not merge the Goverment Section with "Government of Hawaii". thank you. Dwilso (talk) 01:02, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't know what you are talking about. This article will eventually be changed to meet the standard set for every Government of X state in the United States, such as Government of California, Government of New York, etc. There will still be a separate dab page if there is a need for one. —Viriditas | Talk 02:40, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Set index
[edit]Thanks for your work on the Hawaii dab pages. Can you talk a little bit more about index articles on the talk page, or provide some guidance there? For example, should it be tagged as a list? Thanks again. Viriditas (talk) 11:00, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- A list of articles about a topic (or in a particular set) is a set index article. Rather than try to apply WP:MOSDAB to Government of Hawaii (and doubtless irritating many editors who like the list, since many entries would be removed as not known commonly as "Government of Hawaii"), I assumed it was a list of things about the Government of Hawaii. WP:MOSDAB#Set index articles and WP:LISTS -- government list may even be broader than a set index (edit as you noted in the interim tweak while I was composing this). -- JHunterJ (talk) 11:05, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Right. So it is ok if I tag it as a list? Viriditas (talk) 11:08, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, absolutely. -- JHunterJ (talk) 11:29, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Would you folks over at the dabproject be interested in creating a {{setindex}} tag so that you can watch and maintain these types of articles? Something like {{shipindex}}? We need your project to take a lead in maintaining these types of articles, because frankly, I doubt that anyone understands it better than your group. Viriditas (talk) 11:33, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- You can ask there (Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Disambiguation), but I confess set-index articles are an area of neither expertise nor interest for me personally -- they're an exception to the disambiguation pages I like to work on. :-) -- JHunterJ (talk) 11:46, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Added to the list. :) Viriditas (talk) 11:49, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

May I move this discussion to Talk:Government of Hawaii? Viriditas (talk) 03:42, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- That's fine too -- could you leave a little note behind like the one I did below for Intuition? -- JHunterJ (talk) 03:45, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
