Kongu Vettuva Gounder
[edit]Don't remove the Vettuva Goundar, Kongu Vettuva Goundar redirect page from wikipedia.
Tolkappiyam is an first ancient book. The Vettuvars (Hunters) are the oldest tribes in the world. During the war, they did not run away from the enemy, but stood on the battlefield and fought against the enemy, winning or losing many battles, hence the name Kaamindar. The name of this Kaaminder is called now Goundar. So Vettuva Goundar is the first Goundar in the World.

Vanniyar
[edit]The Vanniyars have been using the title in all the Northern districts of Tamil Nadu. As a matter of fact, Gounder represents only Vanniyars in the districts of Tirupattur, Vellore, Ranipet, Viluppuram, Kallakurichi and some parts of Cuddalore where Kongu Vellalars do not live traditionally. This is an undisputed fact and it is deplorable that some users want to deliberately delete these facts out.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Maheshvan (talk • contribs) 05:15, 27 June 2021 (UTC)

- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 19:55, 5 July 2021 (UTC)

Personal analysis
[edit]@Konguhead: You were told about WP:OR multiple times in your talk page and yet you have still added the same content in this edit. You were told that if you are adding "Kshatriya", then the source must explicitly say it. Moreover, the jstor source only mentions about "GAVUNDAS" in "Southern Karnataka" and not "Gounder" in Tamil Nadu and it does not mention the word "Kshatriyas" and you can't add content if it's not in the source. You have also removed sourced content without any explanation in the same edit. The other web link you added is not WP:RS. The Tamil version of the page does not have the word "Kshatriya" anywhere in the article and almost everything is not in the sources unlike what you said in the edit summary and in your talk page. - SUN EYE 1 15:52, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
- You were doing vandalism. The edit is fully compliances with WP:CA. All of the refs and sources of Vokkaliga and Gounder denotes they were warriors and rulers as Gavundas. The Tamil Version of the page does have the word " Kings of Rashtrakuta dynasty (Rastrakuta kings) and Pallava dynasty (Pallava kings)", and explains they're branched off from Vokkaliga. The web link is a reliable source by Wikipedia's policies. Also those refs explains, Vokkaliga uses Gounder and Gowda as their surname and these titles are derived from "Gavundas" and they live in Tamilnadu too. The Rashtrakuta dynasty was a royal Indian dynasty ruling large parts of Tamilnadu, Karnataka, and kerala. The "Kshatriya" is just a synonym of kings and warriors. If you've personal issues with the title, change it as "Warriors or rulers" into the page. Wikieye0 (talk) 10:20, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- Gounders belong to Agnivansha and Solar dynasty. Tamilnadu govt have listed them in kshatriya list. For the confirmation, you may see Tamilnadu Government Gazette (No. 169), Surnames and its castes (page 1850). It's not Pov or Original research. Konguhead (talk) 03:56, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- Admin comment: Wikieye0 and Konguhead are indef'ed, and are socks of each other. DMacks (talk) 16:11, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
Urali Gounder
[edit]Urali gounder Bloodyrage (talk) 18:40, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
The Urali Gounder are a sub-set of the Gounder caste of India. The evidence for their origin and history are found in Pudukkottai, Manapparai areas.
They are populated largely in Trichy, Pudukottai, Perambalur, Karur, Dindigul, Salem,Sivagangai, Madurai,Coimbatore,Ariyalur,Tanjavur,Theni and Namakal of Tamil Nadu state. Also, they are found in Trivandrum and Iduki of Kerala, and Bangalore and some of districts of Karnataka states.
They have further sub-division in their community, which are known by "Nadu" & "Karai".All these "nadu" In which, "Karai" is again a sub-division of "Nadu", as Nadu is determined with area. All these "nadu"s administrated by “Jamin” of Urali gounder community. Most popular nadu were Kadavankudi, athiinatar, paluvanchi, makili, vadaseri etc.. which are administrated by this community. Each Nadu contain number of villages."Nattamai" who were administrated the particular village. But Jamin had super power to control the nattamais.
