Isn’t god-given a better translation than the trendy (god-)gifted? tharsaile (talk) 14:43, 27 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@TharsaileI don't know if god-gifted is trendy(ugly, yes), but I doubt that god-given is much better. It leaves open who gave what to whom? The idea was that these artist had a talent that was given to them (by God), not that God gave those artists (to the Nazis or the German people). Is divinely-inspired or -blessed is a possibility? I’m sorry I saw this so late. I think I just have a problem with gift as a verb where give is fine, but I generally only edit typos on wikipedia, as anything else I do tends to just get reverted by stubborn editors. :-) tharsaile (talk) 18:08, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wilhelm Furtwängler

Where is there an asterisk after Wilhelm Furtwängler? Esprix (talk) 19:55, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Most important"

[edit]

When we indicate the "three most important actors" on the list, where does the judgment that these were the "three most important actors" come from? Did the Gottbegnadeten-Liste rank actors by importance? --Pseudo-Richard (talk) 17:30, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What I'm really asking is why we only have three actors listed here. Eugen Klöpfer was on the list and I think we may as well include him in the article unless there's a special reason to limit entries to just the "three most important actors". --Pseudo-Richard (talk) 17:45, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've expanded the list to include all members of the list who have a Wikipedia article about them. --Pseudo-Richard (talk) 08:09, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
