El Gòtic → Barri Gòtic — English speakers do not refer to Barri Gòtic as El Gòtic. Ogrears (talk) 16:17, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think we have to use the official name "El Gòtic" and not an extraoficial one "Barri Gòtic", but if you have to adapt, I think that it is more logical to traduce it to the English "Gothic Quarter". There are 144.000 results in Google for Gothic Quarter, compared with the 94.000 for Barri Gòtic (both in English web pages).

For example in Catalonia many people know Barcelona as Cap i Casal or Ciutat Comtal, and nobody will moved the article to one of that names in the catalan wikipedia, sometimes we have to used the official name.--Vilar 17:36, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - We should use the English name wherever possible. In this case, the local government has an English-language section which refers to this area as the Gothic Quarter. So I think it would be more appropriate to move this article to something like Gothic Quarter or Gothic Quarter, Barcelona as there are Gothic quarters in places like Tarragona and Pals but no articles on them as yet. I agree the page should be moved to Gothic Quarter, Barcelona, similar to how the Latin Quarter in Paris is maintained Latin Quarter, Paris Ogrears (talk) 07:32, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
