GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria
- Is it reasonably well written?
- A. Prose quality:
- Nicely written. Only a couple of hairsplits:
- "From 1947 to 1949, he attended the University of Cambridge under a Walter and Eliza Hall Veterinary Research Fellowship, from which he earned a doctor of philosophy." Did he earn the degree from Cambridge, or from the Walter and Eliza Hall Veterinary Research Fellowship?
- "pregnancy toxaemia" is pretty obscure to the general reader. Might want to link it (to Pre-eclampsia?)
- "For example, as an undergraduate, he
hadreceived": I don't think the past perfect is correct here. - link New England University College (to University of New England (Australia)?)
- "pointed-out" drop the hyphen
- "The impact of the resulting improvements in Australia's livestock production were". "The impact" is the subject, so this should be "was" and not "were"
- "One hundred-sixty graduated with honors." Only numbers from 21 to 99 are hyphenated. Also, is "honors" not spelled "honours" in Australian English?

- I still count seven instances of "honor" in the article (I believe "honorary" is spelt without a "u", though). Curly Turkey (gobble) 03:47, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

- Ditto with "center", "centre"? I'm not an expert in Australian spelling.
- "Professor R.B. Cumming" space between "R." and "B."
- Done. Cla68 (talk) 11:01, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- "widely recognized-and acclaimed-as" I can't access the source, but I suspect these are emdashes or spaced endashes
- "J.S. Ryan" (in Personality section) space "J." and "S."
- Done. Cla68 (talk) 11:15, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Is the "University of New England" University of New England (Australia)?
- Yes. Linked in the article. Cla68 (talk) 11:15, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Nicely written. Only a couple of hairsplits:
- B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
- A. Prose quality:
- Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
- A. Has an appropriate reference section:
- B. Citation to reliable sources where necessary:
- Everything's duly reffed with inline cites, but there are some inconsistencies in the cites:
- cite 40: Who or what is "RT"?
- cite 49: Which Ryan is this?
- For consistency's sake, if you are going to date the Ryan cites, it's probably best to date the Leng, Jordan, etc. ones, too.
- Leng should be Leng & McClymont, shouldn't it?
- In the "References" section, if Leng is surname first, then so should McClymont be. Ditto Warren Newman.

- Everything looks fine to me now. Curly Turkey (gobble) 23:12, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

- Everything's duly reffed with inline cites, but there are some inconsistencies in the cites:
- C. No original research:
- As far as I can tell. I can't access all of the sources.
- A. Has an appropriate reference section:
- Is it broad in its coverage?
- A. Major aspects:
- As far as I'm aware
- B. Focused:
- The article seems to get to the point very well.
- A. Major aspects:
- Is it neutral?
- Fair representation without bias:
- I'm not an expert on the subject, but I can detect no obvious bias.
- Fair representation without bias:
- Is it stable?
- No edit wars, etc:
- No edit wars, etc:
- Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
- A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid fair use rationales are provided for non-free content:
- B. Images are provided if possible and are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
- No images at all. Are there no pictures of the man that could be used with a Fair Use Rationale? No photos of the university?
- I added a photo of the university and of one of his awards. I don't have any photos of him that are decent enough quality to upload under a fair use license and I haven't found any public domain images. I'm still looking but it may take awhile. Cla68 (talk) 12:47, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
- The images look fine, and the licences check out. If you're planning on taking this article farther I'd recommend adding WP:ALTTEXT to the images. Curly Turkey (gobble) 23:12, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

- I have fixed some of your suggestions. This is the first time I have seen the article and thought I would help out. Michael73072 (talk) 04:42, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
