Current work
[edit]I am dividiing the "speech" section to make additional contrast with Dongzhong Shu, who, while generally considered as making philosophical contribution, is contrasted with Gongsun Hong, with the latter as potentially contributing more to their initial entry into office.FourLights (talk) 09:31, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

Recommend change citation method
[edit]I'd like to suggest that shortened footnotes, using the {{sfn}} template, might improve this article. It would reduce the length of the reference section by combining duplicate references, use of {{reflist|20em}} and a notes section. See an example at NBR 224 and 420 Classes (13:32, 1 August 2011). I'm happy to help.--Trilotat (talk) 16:33, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
- @FourLights: I took the liberty of making this change. The repeated and bulleted references made this article hard to read. I hope you don't object. If you revert, that's fine. Trilotat (talk) 03:39, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you.FourLights (talk) 17:21, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
problematic reference
[edit]The reference, "Don J. Wyatt. China Review International. 9.2 (Fall 2002): p564. From General OneFile. Griet Vankeerberghen. The Huainanzi and Liu An's Claim to Moral Authority" is strangely formatted. The Don Wyatt part appears to be missing a title. The part after, "Griet Vankeerberghen" has already been used. Trilotat (talk) 22:47, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
- Fixed. Trilotat (talk) 18:49, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
