Godzilla connection
[edit]was there any connection ever made between GON and GOZILLA? in one episode he was hit by lightning and not only gon survived but was able to electrocute others after that. he is like mr.bean. a weird alien unaffected by earthly elements and events. so gon could be godzilla in his childhood. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 39.50.165.66 (talk) 05:03, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
Untitled
[edit]Um, I'm not a wikipedia aficianado, but I have to say I think it's really sad that the one single Gon page on wikipedia is only half devoted to Tanaka's art, and the rest is about a character in a video game. Even the picture is from Tekken and not from Gon! Gon is a comic, a work of art. It has been analyzed by various critical literary sources and it is widely known among readers of comics and graphic novels. The video game reference really only belongs in the trivia section. It is an entirely different milieu. If it's important to have information about the Gon character in Tekken, then there should be two pages; one part of the cvg project devoted to the character, and one devoted to the actual books.
Major Character?
[edit]Gon is listed as being a major character and Dr B is not? I really dont think that should be so. Gon was a gimmick throw away character in T# whilst Doctor B has impacted the Tekken cannon over and over again. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cosmic Larva (talk • contribs) 01:09, 19 March 2007 (UTC).
I have a question that I had
[edit]Has something happened to the movie? The phrasing "was due for release in 2009" suggests that it is no longer so scheduled. Either the "was" needs changed to an "is," or something needs to be added to clarify why it is no longer coming out in 2009. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.216.185.216 (talk) 22:07, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
SNES game
[edit]I would argue against calling the Gon SNES game Mario-like. Other than also being a platformer, and on a Nintendo system, the game has nothing in common with either the classic 2d, or the modern 3d Mario games. The game does not share particularly similar art styles, game-play, or any other readily identifiable features with Mario games, both of the era, and not. It could just as soon be compared to Sonic the Hedgehog, which would perhaps be more accurate, though I would argue against that as well. I would say that the paragraph in question should just mention it as a platformer, without comparing it to any other games (a similar one to which I am unfamiliar), but that would make that second sentence a little short wouldn't it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.41.42.31 (talk) 15:08, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
