Please explain
[edit]Please explain the background and reason behind the enclave land of Golmud, posted 2008.Question unanswered up till 2010. {Question from unknown source transferred from article Feb 26, 2010. Twang (talk) 18:09, 26 February 2010 (UTC)} I made a little research. The enclave land Tanggula town is administrated by Golmud, although it is a part of Yushu. This is a long story since 1956. I suppose it is because Tangula is near Golmud by traffic: Tangula and Golmud is linked by Qingzang highway (completed 1954) and Qingzang Railway (2006). Another interesting fact, 3/4 of Tanggula in fact is administrated by Tibet's Amdo county. It was 'borrowed' to Amdo for disaster relieving but did not return back.--刻意(Kèyì) 12:28, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
. Qarham Salt Lake?
[edit]The article as of 12-22-2012 says, "Qarham Salt Lake to the northeast of Golmud proper boasts an area of 5,856 km², making it the biggest inland salt lake in the world."
The largest inland salt lake in the world is The Caspian Sea at 3,626,000 km2 , without a doubt. 2602:306:3032:30F0:AD7D:D1C9:7CB0:F68B (talk) 08:48, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
