Untitled

[edit]

The movie, "Eight Lanes in Hamilton" (2002) was filmed almost entirely in Goldendale. It shows a good representation of what the town is like today. There is no theatre, however, as the theatre shown in the movie is in California. - LIKESTOSEENAMEINPRINT

Someone should add the city seal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.228.20.135 (talk) 04:31, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't this where Einstein tried to take a picture of an eclipse to prove his theory? There should be at least a mention of this world historic event! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.231.141.99 (talk) 23:11, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality

[edit]

Reading through this article, i see a real neutrality problem with the sections titled 'Controversy over sale of subsidized low cost Electrical alotment' and 'Investigation of Power sale discussed'. I am guessing that these were written by one (or more) of the disgruntled employees from the aluminum plant described. Statements like, "Some residents of the community have discussed circulating a petition...", "The former employees were basically robbed...", and "...most former employees are bitter and feel the aluminum plant former owner still owes them...", are not really encyclopedic. Dont get me wrong - I am not taking sodes on ANY local business dispute, but this is unreferenced opinion that has no place in the article.

I have flagged it for a NPOV check, but if i dont hear/see anything here in the next week or so - i'll go ahead and delete. If someone could write a more neutral and fact-based section in it's place that would be win-win. Nothingofwater (talk) 19:48, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Didnt hear anything for 10 days. I have revised the section to stick to the facts, and leave the opinion out. Nothingofwater (talk) 03:51, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blood mining?

[edit]

I'm going to remove the line about "the last true blood mining town"; whichever way it was intended, it's absurd, and probably light-hearted vandalism of a sort. --Haruo (talk) 10:46, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Phrasing

[edit]

Propose change to rephrase: "Once beautiful farmland is now divided up into residential tracts." The part "Once beautiful" is partisan in POV. Suggest: "Many parcels of farm land have now been sold and subdivided into residential tracts." GreenLionRamp (talk) 17:42, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
