WHAT IS A GANGWAY IN THE SCOOPE OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.215.148.33 (talk) 15:52, 14 October 2009 (UTC) Have a look at http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/gangway Gangways for Mechanical engineering might mean the walkway built for maintenance workers to get around mechanical plant and equipment. Gangways are also articulating ramps or bridges to get from a dock to a ship or from a pontoon to the land.
