[edit]I will nominate this page for deletion. I do not have time because I am very busy, but this page WILL be deleted, because there was no such thing as Goguryeo-guk. Odst 00:21, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- This appears at List of monarchs of Korea and Anseung... So I deprodded it, as List of monarchs is pretty active with Korean contributors, if it really didn't exist, then a larger cleanup than just deleting this article is required. I've added unreferenced and hoax for the PRODDers concerns. Note that it is called Bodeok on the list, and is mentioned as such at Geom Mojam. 132.205.44.5 22:52, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- I have informed WikiProject Korea about this article and your concerns. 132.205.44.5 22:57, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'm no expert on Korean history, but the hangul 고구려국 gets over 2000 hits on Google, which doesn't suggest a hoax to me. This article certainly WON'T be deleted just because you say so, but by all means take it to WP:AfD. PC78 23:03, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- I have heard of the name Bodeok before, but I am not sure if it is related to the contents of the article. I will conduct more research. Nevertheless, the name Goguryeo-guk is a hoax. I never said that the events mentioned in the article to be false. Simply put, the name Goguryeo-guk is a hoax. It may be possible that the correct name of this article should be Bodeok. If even this, however, is untrue, a new article may be created under a different title such as "Goguryeo's revival movements". Odst 23:39, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- you could alternately, move this article to revivals of Goguryeo and then clean it up, (or to Bodeok). 132.205.44.5 22:14, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not an expert either, but found a book talking about Goguryeo-guk briefly. It seems like the country lasted only a few years to a few decades. eDenE 23:51, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Seems like Goguryeo-Guk exists. I'm not a pro in this area. (Wikimachine 03:17, 7 August 2007 (UTC))
My computer cannot read the text on that website. is it possible, if you can tell me what it says? Odst 00:01, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- This section of the book talks about restoration movement of Goguryeo. I'm not good at translation, so I'm just going to write some of the text in Korea. Hope you can read Hangul.

I can read Korean.... and thanks.Odst 01:51, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- Though the book calls it Goguryeo-guk, Goguryeo-guk means "Goguryeo country". this may mean that mojam and anseung may have started a restoration movement and actually restored it for a brief amount of time. However, I believe that this article must be deleted and its contents moved to Goguryeo revival movements, as soon as it is created by kprideboi.

Having said all the above...
[edit]...is it or is it not a hoax? If not, the tag should be removed. 68.39.174.238 20:07, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- To me it reads more like a plot summary of a piece of historical fiction (comic or film) than like a real piece of history - but that's a stylistic problem for the encyclopedia. It's not a comment on the factual content, because I don't know anything about the historical attempts to restore Goguryeo. --Paularblaster (talk) 15:40, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
