Phrasing
I don't know how to phrase this without getting into a choco-rant, but in my experience Godiva is a lot better at marketing and creating an exclusive image of itself than of actually producing high-quality chocolate. If you compare it to really high-quality producers like Valrhona and Michel Cluizel, the prices are quite high, and the chocoaltes they make are only high-quality if compared with the abysmally low quality of the average American chocolate bar. Compared to European chocoalte, Godiva is just slightly above average. Peter Isotalo 14:33, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
- Well the fact in the article that they're owned by Campbell Soup may very subtly point readers in that direction... 67.70.123.137 05:24, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- I found an article in the International Herald Tribune that mentions Godiva compared to Valrhona. I added some info on it and also compared with Michel Cluizel. I know this might be slightly subjective, but anyone who has ever tasted chocolate from the other two companies and compared it with Godiva will know what I mean.

What kind of idiot writes 'manufactured domestically'? Domestically to which country? Gene pool techician: time to clean out a few more AMERICANS.
To be honest, the stuff added makes this page look more like a Godiva broschure than an encyclopedia article. I'll highlight some of the less impartial phrases:
- "one of the foremost chocolate manufacturers in the world"
- "Godiva continues to be the leader in the premium confectionery category"
- "Godiva Chocolatier offers a variety of the finest gourmet chocolates, truffles, coffee, cocoa, gift baskets, and more"
- "not only superior to the competition" Liu Bei 21:08, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, remain neutral all right. As in 'domestically' refers to the country YOU are in, you TURD.
And anyway, you stole most of this from official marketing material by Godiva.
What a creep.
I agree. It sounds like a commercial.
- Okay, I rewrote it to get rid of all the POV language and claims. I'd like to point out that I didn't include language like that when I originally created the article. I always try to maintain a NPOV, even on subjects which I am passionate about (which doesn't include Godiva). Read the new version, edit at your pleasure. :-) — Frecklefoot | Talk 14:24, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Worth of their ice cream?
How much is a 12 pack of Godiva chocolate ice cream bars worth? And how about their other types of Ice cream? I mean the type that comes in small containers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.141.213.65 (talk) 01:44, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
...urp ... they are worth nothing; I ate the last one in the box. Deatonjr (talk) 18:51, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Ülkir based in Turkey
I made a simple edit describing Ülkir as based in Istanbul. It otherwise isn't clear where the parent company is based. Also, I don't know much about ülkir besides what is on the wiki article. Are there other companies underneath the Yildiz umbrella, maybe enough to warrant an article; it is, after all, a holding company. Deatonjr (talk) 18:49, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
It is "Ülker", not "Ülkir". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.214.203.150 (talk) 17:27, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

A thought...
I know that the page for Lady Godiva links to this page, but shouldn't the Chocolatier page link to the Lady Godiva page as well? Or at least reference the origin of the name/logo -Danfish77 (talk) 07:39, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
