Orca membership.

[edit]

In the article for the parent taxon, oceanic dolphin, a number of different classifications are listed, the first of which is "A classification of the family Delphinidae from Perrin (1989) reflecting a traditional view of species interrelationships." That does include the orca -- the others all do not. Should that wrinkle me mentioned here, for inter-article consistency? It's especially confusing as (until I edited it a moment ago -- twice!) the orca was given as one of the examples for this clade. 109.255.211.6 (talk) 16:20, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oceanic_dolphin#Taxonomy as it is now, the Orca is included. If you remove the orca here, it should be placed differently in that article. As it is now it included in Globicephalinae and creates an inconsistency between the articles. 212.97.249.37 (talk) 18:50, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
