Edit Conflict
[edit]There seems to have been a coincidental editing conflict, which Wikipedia interpreted as "edit war" (I wouldn't use such an aggressive word, as there was certainly no badwill involved). However, I understand now that I should put my edit ideas up for discussion before implementing them, which I do below. Sorry for not doing it before, I am new to Wikipedia editing.
I tried top remove the redirect from "Global Nomad" to "Third Culture Kid", as the expressions are not commonly used interchangeably, and replace the page with a list of meanings "Global Nomad" is used for: - People with an international lifestyle and way of thinking - People with an internationally itinerant lifestyle and no home base or homes in several countries - People who grew up in a country different from their parent's (better known as "Third Culture Kids")
What are the arguments against such a clarification?

Untitled
[edit]Actually, you don't have to discuss your changes first. But you can't undo changes more than three times in a 24 hour period WP:3RR, so if people are undoing your edits, please consider talking about it first. There's no problem creating the article, as long as you get the information from reliable sources and provide a link or citation so we can verify the information. --Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 08:58, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Suggestion
[edit]I would suggest keeping Global nomad article separate and linking it to Perpetual traveler and Third culture kids. Global nomad is an umbrella term for both of them, not synonymical. Perpetual travellers are motivated by financial gain and tax evasion, and thus they represent a particular subtype of Global Nomads. The same applies to Third culture kids. Not all Global nomads are children who accompany their parents into another society. Global nomads also include, for instance, Lifestyle travellers, Digital nomads, Location independent people, Mobile bohemians, drifters, and lifestyle migrants. - As there has been no objections, I will start implementing my proposal. Nomadresearcher (talk) 16:25, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
Notes from November 2021 new page patrol review
[edit]Not sure why but this article came up for new page patrol. I must admit I came very close to AFD'ing it. Because the title is just a two word sequence, and appears to not be recognized as regular or consistently defined term in the sources. But I think that there is a topic there; which is in general people who do it. I also noticed that Lifestyle travellers and Location independent people are redirects to this article, so it is also coverage for those terms, or for the topic which all three terms refer to. I'm marking it as reviewed. Thanks for your work! Sincerely, North8000 (talk) 19:16, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
