Local Visitors Councils

[edit]

I've added a section to list Local Visitors Councils in the United States, which serve a similar function on a more local level. The list only includes the ones I could find. I'm sure there are many more, probably one in every major city. Note: This is not to be confused with a World Affairs Council, which is a separate article. Name Change

[edit]

The National Council for International Visitors changed its name to Global Ties U.S. on January 22, 2014. The local councils are also now called community-based members, and both that list and the Board of Directors need to be updated. I'm affiliated with the organization so I don't think it's appropriate to make the changes myself (I'm also new to editing Wikipedia, so I may be wrong about that). All the information is on the new website: globaltiesus.org. Should I put in an edit request for this? Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated! Realburden (talk) 14:28, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
