- Let me know when the Peer Review has been completed.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:13, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- Glad to see that the toolbox shows no issues.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:06, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
- After just reading the LEAD, I doubt it adequately summarizes the rest of the article. I feel that I should know who owns the team. I.E., I don't understand the affiliation with Leyte Football Association. Is that a public or private entity? Also, has the team had any successful players or coaches/managers? I.E., are there hall of fame or all-star personalities associated with this franchise. Make sure the Lead summarizes the entire article.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:05, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
- The lead has improved. The club is affiliated with Leyte F.A. because Dan Palami which is the owner/chief executive of Global is the president of the association. [1], [2], [3]. I'm not sure if its public or private but I do know its parent is the Philippine Football Federation. [4] This team is established in March 2000 but they started participating in minor local competitions around Manila, the official website didn't said the achievement(s) Global has accomplish. Plus it is hard to find some of this stats in any search engine. I assume good faith that the blogs I used as sources in the 2009 UFL Cup are true. FairyTailRocks 12:17, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
- In general the article seems a bit light for an entire franchise even though the franchise is barely 14 years old.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:05, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
- Foundation
- "After hiring football players from employees in the company Autre Porte Technique Global" suggests that there is an owner who pays the players. The organizational structure needs to be made clear.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:21, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
- Something should be said about the club's achievements between 2000 and 2009.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:28, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
- Per above. I only added the 2009 UFL Cup. FairyTailRocks 12:25, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
- The acquisition of key players should be mentioned. When were the key players for the following season acquired.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:31, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
- I browsed the club's news since 2011. Majority of them are loans from different teams which is not a very big deal in putting them to the history section. [10], [11], [12]. However, I saw some transfers [13], [14] will I add those?— Preceding unsigned comment added by FairyTailRocks (talk • contribs) 09:32, 14 April 2014
- I don't know this sport well. This article should not include a list of common player transactions. This is an article that should include historically significant personalities for the franchise.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 07:15, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
- Comment It is unclear to me why the extensive detail begins in 2010. Clearly the article was started in 2011. Were they suddenly playing in major league competitions with broader press coverage. Is this just wikipedians chronicling current events? What is going on here?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:40, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
- Per above. At the second season of the league, AKTV, a now-defunct free TV sports channel and sister channel of TV5 made a deal to air UFL football matches for the first time. [15] Because of this, they covered articles of news and football matches around the UFL. Also, the PFF National Cup was only established last 2011. [16] In short, because of their joining to the UFL, they rose to stardom and began to compete national and international competitions. FairyTailRocks 12:38, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
- The article needs to make it clear that this sort of started as a recreational sport later transitioned to serious competitive athletics. You need to domonstrate the transition point.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 22:45, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
- Added it in the lead. FairyTailRocks 09:44, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- Keep in mind that all facts mentioned in the LEAD need to be summaries of the same facts in the main body. I.e., the main body should have at least as much detail regarding any fact as the LEAD.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 07:28, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
- FAIL I do understand that you are being responsive to my concerns, but the problem is that the article is still at a stage in which we are fleshing out basic content that needs to be added. I feel like I am reading an article and saying "Hey I know this type of information is missing". You respond by finding it. Right now, as I read the article, I remain befuddled by the decision making structure of the team in the early days. I don't know when or how Palami acquired his controlling stake. Also, this article is outside of my area of expertise. I am surely going to try to suggest changes that might not necessarily be proper and miss some that people who know the sport would suggest. If the article were in better shape, I would withdraw and ask another reviewer to take over. However, I would suggest that you review Wikipedia:WIAGA and make sure the article adheres to it. I think the article fails WIAGA #3 and am failing the article on that basis. If you are uncomfortable with my decision, you can seek a second opinion at WP:GAR.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 07:41, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
- I stand behind my decision to fail the article for the reasons stated above and the sometimes subpar prose. A sentence like "Dan Palami is the chief executive officer of the company was eventually hire as the owner of Global." is ungrammatical with one subject and three awkwardly strewn verbs.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 15:06, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
