YTCracker
[edit]If YTCracker was a member of this group as suggested here, why is globalHell never mentioned in the YTCracker article? Savio mit electronics 12:47, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
ytc never a member, used prescanned sripts from rfp. likely a skript kiddie at best —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.241.42.74 (talk) 05:43, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
Citations Required
[edit]That Patrick Gregory, Chad Davis and Erick Burns were members of this group is well documented. However, a search for Russell Sanford,SliPY and Mnemonic on Google produces no results linking them with the globalHell group (other than this page), though one other result is produced that shows Russell Sanford to have pled guilty to 7 charges of unlawfully obtaining access to computers. I request the author of this article to cite sources that indicate the involvement of these persons in this group of crackers. Also, though this article indicates that YTCracker aka defaced the Web pages of three US Government agencies, including NASA's Goddard Flight Center, no mention is made of globalHell. I humbly request the authors Spafbnerf and the person from the IP address 196.25.221.221 to cite some sources. Savio mit electronics 13:20, 28 August 2006 (UTC) <- wikinewb, how do we proposition a FIFO request for FBI ledgers of "handles of interest" for that time period? I remember back then, I read a few in print!

[edit]There is some original research involved in my creation of this page (I actually used to talk to these people online), but I've made sure that everything is verifiable, per Wikipedia's policy. You can confirm the involvement of Sanford, Ytcracker, SliPY and Mnemonic, to some extent by Googling the following:
"slipy" "global hell" | "ytcracker" "global hell" | "mnemonic" "keyroot" "gH" | "russell sanford" "global hell"

re: ytcracker & slipy
[edit]ytcracker was an associate, he was never a formal member. He may have been introduced roughly around the time the group disbanded. And I have no clue who slipy is. Doing a search on him brings up nothing, either. Either he is a figment of imagination, or an alter-ego.

ne0h i got beat in and started writing leet sploits for gh heads bumping that swishahouse from mh anyway google it i guess i was sort of 1.5 generation Ytcracker (talk) 09:43, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
that made absolutely no sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Neeee0h (talk • contribs) 22:14, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- Using the Google strings above, I can only find information from YTCracker himself about a supposed relation to gH. Additionally, they're all after gH "disbanded," and presumably lost all notoriety. While YTCracker's self-promotion is impressive, I'm not sure it fits in to this list. --Pinkyviolence (talk) 05:38, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
just a heads up SliPY and Mnemonic were never memebers of gH and the member list and involvement goes beyond the alittle amount there was produced on this page plus there was never 60 members in gH gH had around 20-25 but other hacker groups and associates of gH hanged around efnet channels that gH members ran or were in and had communications with them through irc, phone or confs. -sg —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.199.163.223 (talk) 15:16, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Members
[edit]Albert Gonzalez or soupnazi was not a member. He was atmost a visitor and just hangout.
c0mrade was also not a part of group. Connected but not a part.
SliPY was a part of hv2k.
Hacker news Network listed MostHated, ben-z, altomo, egodeath, nostalg1c, Mnemonic as members. Rest are correct so I am leaving altomo as it is.
eckis was found on a hacher news site as being investigated by fbi but other unrelated hackers were also investigated. So he is probably not a part. He is also mentioned by a gh member here though it eckis group is not clear.
tonekore is mentioned here as having defaced two sites but nothing conclusive.
shekk was directly referenced in relation with gh.
Names which I could not find anywhere other than the book 'Inseguridad informática'. - Clem3ntine, BoyWonder, p0g0, datamunk, icesk, teqneex and r4in. As for these names, no record other than this book available. The author is a professor at an university. I contacted him and he said that the book was wriiten for a hacker group.
This site contains pictures of some members.
