It's dead here
[edit]@Magnolia677:: This is my first attempt to edit an article about a cemetery. Do you have some examples in mind of well-written ones? Thanks, Oldsanfelipe (talk) 07:51, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Oldsanfelipe: This article looks pretty good. It's well sourced, but the external links in the body of the text should be converted to inline citations (per WP:ELPOINTS). Also, it would not be inappropriate to remove the non-notable names (and then wait for someone to take issue). You and the other editor can discuss here on the talk page why the person's name should be included. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 08:51, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Magnolia677:Thanks for the tips. What do you mean by "other editor"? Oldsanfelipe (talk) 12:46, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Oldsanfelipe: Some other editor who may take issue with you removing all the non-notable names. Magnolia677 (talk) 13:04, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Magnolia677: Am I wrong that posting a notice to the article's talk page is sufficient? Please see below. Thanks, Oldsanfelipe (talk) 13:56, 11 July 2018 (UTC)

Red links to notable persons
[edit]There are several listings as notable persons with red links, and some of these listings may back as far as 2006. Any listing with a red link can be challenged for notability within the context of this article. Since this is already a long list, I argue that this list should be pared. In any case:
- Alice Graham Baker – I will write this article
- Edward Hopkins Cushing
- William G. Dudley
- Maria "Ria" Franklin Prentiss Lucas Langham Gable
- George H. Hermann – I will write this article
- Alice Dargan Kilgore
- Harry C. Weiss, I have no plans to write about him at this time, but he's a pretty big deal: a co-founder of Humble Oil, an antecedent to ExxonMobil; benefactor of Rice University, namesake of Weiss College.
Any thoughts about notability of these persons? Oldsanfelipe (talk) 13:36, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- Delete the non-notable entries. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:52, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
Notable burials
[edit]This section could be rewritten as prose. For an example, see Oakwood Cemetery (Troy, New York)#Notable interments, a Featured Article which was promoted in 2010. Oldsanfelipe (talk) 15:40, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
