Improvements
[edit]I have rewritten the article as it was previously just 'cut and paste' from the above source. Although it may well be public domain (I don't know), it seems better for the encyclopedia to write in own words and reference the source appropriately. I have done this now, as well as adding some categories, wikilinks and an infobox. I don't have any knowledge of the subject, however, or any other sources, so if someone else can help expand the article that would be great. Some possible improvements might be:
- expand the article to discuss in more detail the subject's early life and military career,
- add an image
- expand the sources and references used
I hope this helps. When you feel it is ready for reassessment, please add it to the list at WP:MHA and someone there will re-assess. Cheers. — AustralianRupert (talk) 03:24, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- The article creator was mistaken, text found on the NATO website is not public domain as noted on the bottom of each webpage by the © NATO symbol. Thanks for revising the text. — CactusWriter | needles 19:06, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
