Wikipedia was a little topic on today's show, he made some gags about some things that have been listed. The Johnny Most comment was probably the most relevant, not so much that fat comments.

The whole bit dealing with Ordway's departure requires citations and cleanup for objectivity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.118.59.242 (talk) 03:03, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article rewrite

[edit]

Given the recent, uh, attention, on the show, I rewrote this. If you're new here, please don't vandalize it. The Big O isn't 400 pounds, and he didn't kill Johnny Most. --badlydrawnjeff talk 00:39, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if someone has a free image they can upload for this article, please do so. I don't think this one cuts it. --badlydrawnjeff talk 00:48, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is factually incorrect to say that Glenn Ordway is "best known" for his work as the Celtics' play-by-play announcer. Without question, he is best known for being the host of the Big Show. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.180.131.16 (talk) 17:13, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite of Patriot ticket paragraph

[edit]

After reading the reference provided (Boston Globe) I rewrote the following paragraph:

Ordway, along with business partners Fred Smerlas and Steve DeOssie, have been linked to illegal scalping of New England Patriots tickets by The Boston Globe in December 2006.

Reason 1 - The article does not mention Steve DeOssie at all, it only mentions Fred Smerlas and Ordway. Reason 2 - The original paragraph states that they were linked to illegal scalping. No where in the article does it say this. Smerlas and Ordway denied they were making money off the tickets; there were no legal agencies involved, no charges brought and the Patriots only state that they revoked the tickets because they have a policy against resale of their tickets except through their own ticket exchange. Claiming otherwise could be considered libel.

If you have other references that back up the original statements, we could rework the paragraph, otherwise I think my rewrite is fair. (Hardnfast 02:09, 30 April 2007 (UTC))[reply]
