What should I do?
Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.
In noting the change by User:Lemunz on 7 July 2014, I checked the references originally posted with the article; they indicated that the fire was on August 9, 1969. However, other sources, including the National Park Service web site (which also has an image of the sign that is erected at the spot), listed the date of the fire as July 9. I hunted down a newspaper article and entered it as a reference. Just putting this note here in case someone else notices the discrepancy in dates. skatoulaki (talk) 13:30, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
