@User:Moxy: A News article about this village does include coverage of the ceremony at the nearby Memorial. Givenchy-en-Gohelle: A ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle at Vimy Ridge will be held on Sunday. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will attend the event in France alongside Gov.-Gen. David Johnston, French President Francois Hollande and Princes Charles, William and Harry. http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/french-village-decked-out-in-canadiana-to-mark-vimy-ridge-centennial-1.3356814

So, if CTV feels it is suitable to include it, why do you not?

The memorial stands atop Hill 145, near the towns of Vimy and Givenchy-en-Gohelle. http://www.cbc.ca/sevenwonders/wonder_vimy.html So, surely, it makes sense to include the ceremony at least in the articles about these two towns. Peter K Burian (talk) 21:01, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

WP:NOTNEWSPAPER and best we dont regurgitate the same thing all over ...simply provide a link to the main article that duplicates what is trying to be inserted here, Mentioning and linking all those names does nothing to help our readers understand this topic. I am really trying to help.--Moxy (talk) 21:06, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
ok Moxy; I added a citation that links to an excellent article that provides all the info a reader might want. The problem with the Memorial article is that it is very, very long and a reader might not quickly find the section about the April 9 ceremony. Peter K Burian (talk) 23:51, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
