This article is in good shape. A few comments:
- Ancient Carthage and First Punic War as duplinked in the lead and in the body, Sicily and Balearic Islands are duplinked in the body
- Fixed.
- link Marsala for Lilybaeum and perhaps add (modern Marsala) (in lead and body) and link Sicily in the lead
- Done.
- to death:→to death. in the lead
- Done.
- link besieged from the land to Siege of Lilybaeum (250 BC)
- Done.
- link Battle of the Aegates Islands
- Done.
- what bit in the First Punic War section covers the Siege of Drepana?
- None. It got chopped in the edit. Removed. Thanks.
- "demographically exhausted" is an odd term? Do you mean they had run out men of fighting age?
- Replaced with "suffering from a large drop in male citizens of fighting age".
- "unless they could extend their blockade to the sea, the Roman Senate" as there are two Senates involved here
- Done.
- suggest "without government expense"→"at private expense"
- Done
- is there a page in the source of File:RomeWins (cropped).jpg which could be added?
- Added.
- what is the source of File:Reconstruction of Lilybaeum.jpg?
- Good question. I didn't do it, so I can't be sure; but it is consistent with Diodoros's account of the siege. (Book 24.) I have added that as the source and feel comfortable with using it given that I have labelled it a "reconstruction of a possible layout". You may differ.
- author-link Nigel Bagnall, Klaus Bringmann and Howard Hayes Scullard
- Done.
- you could link crucifiction
- Done.
- perhaps replace Category:Punics with Category:Carthaginians
- Done.
That's all I could find, apologies for the time this has taken, it was done over several days due to Anzac Day. Placing on hold for the above to be addressed. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 08:03, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Peacemaker67: Not a problem. Wikipedia isn't going anywhere. And it looks as if I will get a decision within a week or so of nominating, which I can hardly complain at. I hope that ANZAC day wasn't disrupted too much by current events. Your points above all addressed. Gog the Mild (talk) 17:47, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
