Who succeeded whom?
[edit]In the page on Nicolaus II Bernoulli it says the latter succeeded Poleni in 1719 at Padua. In this page it says Poleni succeeded Bernoulli. Which is it? Anyone know? --Matt Westwood 22:06, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
Other problems
[edit]If we are to believe Italian Wikipedia, Poleni dealt with St. Peter's dome in 1743, not 1748. Also, he became a member of Berlin Academy of Sciences (on behalf of Leibniz) in 1715, hence "in 1739 the French Academy of Sciences made him a member and later the societies of Berlin and St. Petersburg did the same" is not entirely correct. --Fatio de Duillier (talk) 18:40, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
