Article name

[edit]

Having this article name with "and" makes it cumbersome. I think a simpler title would be better. Perhaps the article name could be Pocket (dentistry), and that would allow discussion for gingival pockets, periodontal pockets, and pseudopockets. These three topics are addressed in the article, but only two of them are in the article title. And I think it would be even more cumbersome to have the article named "Gingival, periodontal, and pseudopockets"!- - Dozenist talk 22:52, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed the article name was plural as well. Per WP:NAME, a singular form would be preferred. - - Dozenist talk 22:54, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. I redirected both pocket articles to this joint article. Perhaps unlike 'crown and bridge' (as per consensus), there is little material on either to demand that they each possess their own article; more importantly, though, the interrelationship between gingival pseudopockets and genuine periodontal pockets is one that should not be overlooked and one that cannot be understated. The commonalities between them are emphasized when they are included together, and the speculated 'cumbersome' issue is nil, as redirects are in place for the individualized pocket articles, as stated above.
