Bank cash deposits
[edit]My husband yesterday tried to pay in £170.00 into my ank account via the Post Office ad was told they couldn't accept it. Barclays bank has closed the Clacton branch last week, so it is no longer possible to pay in there. I phoned the bank today and eventually got through after some time.I was told that someone cannot pay in cash into someonelses account due to goverment policy, which I understand has not yet been passed into law. This is due to money laundering I hardly think £170.00 per week amounts to money laundering. I manage all our expenses such as electric, phone, water etc via my bank account and I need him to pay in this money. He cannot do this via his bank as he only has a bank account, which doesnot accept direct debits or othersise. With your policy in trying to turn the country into a cashless society is very inconveniet and elderly people such as myself and my husband, who is 84 and has had cancer twice and nearly died, I myself am 78 and as a result of the Moderna vaccine ended up in hospital which was not tested properly before being passed into law befor distribution to the general public. I then fell down a pothole due to lack of road maintainence for which those responsible denied responsiblity. due to lack of photographic evidence. This was in a major road with double yellow lines, how can one take a photo after an accident in heavy traffic coming from all sides. The country is going to pot, the only people to gain are the rich and affluent. 2A00:23C6:7163:8400:EC8E:EFF7:F938:7887 (talk) 19:37, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
