- ... that Olivia Rodrigo's tracklist reveal for Guts included letters addressed to "258 get him back drive"? Source: NME
Created by MaranoFan (talk). Self-nominated at 13:12, 2 August 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Get Him Back!; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
- , MaranoFan, after my initial review of this article, I don't think it qualifies for the spirit of the 1,500 character minimum. The last sentence of the first paragraph under the "Background" section isn't germane to this article. And the first two sentences, which are fundamentally quotes from an article, aren't germane either (there's nothing in the article that specifically references that those quotes are about this track specifically). Taking those out of the article, and it falls well below the 1,500 character minimum. It's almost like this is "too soon" and after it is released next month, there will be a lot more commentary and material to add into this article. All that said, I'm happy to hear a second opinion. Outside of this main issue, the hook is confusing and doesn't make a lot of sense without a lot of context. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 19:23, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- Most definitely too soon, and the hook isn't very interesting either. At minimum wait until the album is out (assuming it gets more than just a cumulative paragraph in pieces that aren't just album reviews or artist/producer/songwriter/label commentary). This doesn't even warrant an article yet per WP:NSONGS and has been redirected accordingly. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 00:26, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- I have undone the out of procedure redirect. Anyways, nominations have been held for over a month and this one can too for a more interesting hook to be added upon the song's release on August 25.--NØ 05:38, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- I have to agree here. The notability issues have merit and the article is just too soon. I would suggest redirecting or draftifying the article for now, then remaking the article once more substantial coverage is found and renominating then. - To add to what SNUGGUMS said above, keeping a nomination up while waiting for a new hook or new hook material to appear is against the spirit of how DYK works. And no, "this can last that long because nominations have been up for months" is not a valid reason. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 10:49, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- as the original reviewer, this is a no for DYK. An active deletion discussion also precludes this from moving forward. Come back with it in a few months. Also, just to note, this would have been a no on just the hook itself, which was confusing and not interesting. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 15:27, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
