nonsense about moby dick publishers
[edit]"Sam in May 2006 was unsuccessfully sued by the publisher of Moby Dick. [1]":
There is no publisher of moby dick able to sue. It's out of copyright and is freely available on project gutenburg. Secondly the link goes nowhere, thirdly I can find no reference to a lawsuit or anything anywhere but this page. For the first reason I gave,it couldn't happen. Other songs have used moby dick considerably more as well.
So I have removed this line
I also think the comment about him giving 150,000 to charity is made up but I have left that.

Notability
[edit]It would be good if we could cite exactly how this performer meets WP:MUSIC's crieteria for notability. As it stands, I'm not sure that I see that he makes the cut. -Harmil 14:16, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, the reviews that are cited are enough to meet WP:MUSIC. Just noticed those. -Harmil 14:18, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- Could we then remove the question of notability from the page about Get Cape's split release with Dave House? I figured that if Get Cape is notable, then pages about his releases would be notable too. IanPCP 15:39, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Article Title
[edit]Should this article not be renamed to "Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly." with a trailing full-stop (period), as opposed to the current title which omits it? -- ricmitch 17:14, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- That dude's myspace says no. -- number29(Talk) 13:06, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
This article is not written from a neutral point of view. At all.
I've removed the reference regarding support for HIAG. I assume there is no other meaning to the acronym than the one Wikipedia gives. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.32.66.19 (talk) 08:53, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Actually there is an Essex Charity called "Hearing In A Galley" hense HIAG. They promote aural health for children but in a dry-docked boat. He has been known to visit events and perform for the kids acoustically to show music doesn't have to be played full blast to enjoy it. I believe this should probably be left up for now, as he has expressed the charity is close to his heart on many occasions. A Reference will follow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.145.205.207 (talk) 16:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Sam Duckworth
[edit]Im not sure this article is written in a neutral point of view. Firstly many of the things that have been said in the personality section have no references, for instance the "incident in the nightclub. This is purely Sam's word, there were no police reports no, no statement from the nightclub. Im not saying it didnt happen, but it should hardly go down in the anuls of time if there is no reference. Just another sad day in the slipping standards of wikipedia.
I love Sam, its a true and deep love but I feel the truth must outweigh my duties to him, i feel like a Judas, I just hope the "Get Cape God" will forgive my sins

- Agreed. Also, the link at the end of that sentence is dead and redirects to an unrelated page. I have removed that and inserted a citation needed tag.
- While I am also inclined to believe that Sam is telling the truth, and from the dead link title has stated that info in at least one interview, it should probably be re-written to show that it is his statement and not necessarily verifiable through an independent source. However, since it ties in with what I know about him I am not going to rewrite the sentence as this is a BLP and I have only your word that this was not reported to police, etc. No offence intended!Bertcocaine (talk) 00:13, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
Early Career
[edit]The guy is 22. His music career isn't yet long enough to have stages. I have removed this unnecessary sub-section heading.
