Proposed deletion of GetAbstract International Book Award
[edit]The article GetAbstract International Book Award has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- See Talk:GetAbstract International Book Award#Nominate for deletion for discussion
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}

Added references and removed the non-reference and notability flags. Notability established by references to The Economist, Mint (Indian Edition of The Wall Street Journal), Shanghai Daily (Shanghai's larges English-language newspaper. Rkonig (talk) 13:20, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- All three of those references are examples of web sites that use getAbstract. None of them contain an article about getAbstract which could show that the company is notable per WP:N and WP:COMPANY. We are looking for people who are independent of getAbstract, that have researched the company, and written a non-trivial article about it.
- The company's own web site has useful data about the company:
- http://www.getabstract.com/www/jsp/Story.jsp is about the company history
- http://www.getabstract.com/pages/0/web/AboutUs.jsp lists some of their major clients
- This makes it easy to spot those web pages that are doing trivial coverage as you'll see they just copy/pasted from getAbstrat's own site, Wikipedia, or their press releases, rather than interviewing the founders, going through available public records and press announcements, visiting on site, etc. to independently write an article. It's easy to find examples of trivial coverage

- http://www.branchenbuch.ch/portrait.asp?Id=31647 - this is one of the better pages though as they took the trouble to dig up photos of the founders, etc. Unfortunately, they did not write about the company but rather posted a copy of their rate sheet.
