Confused
[edit]I was unaware that my browser can't display Hebrew properly. Now I am sad. Please cry for me. - Misha

Niqqud
[edit]As a stupid English-speaker, I'd appreciate having the Niqqud on the Hebrew name Gershayim. Thanks to anyone who can do this for me.

- Done
- Thanks for the question.
- There are two possible vocalizations for this word and both are somewhat unusual. גֵּרְשַׁיִם appears in Even-Shoshan and in Bahat and Mishor and the tzere vowel is not quite regular. Gesenius-Kautzch-Cowley seem to prefer grashayim (גְּרָשַׁיִם). The latter is also used quite often in modern speech, though gershayim is more common. I'll try to ask the Academy of the Hebrew language for a clarification. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 14:09, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Quinqueliteral roots
[edit]The article currently names the supposed word “histankrenut” with the supposed root s—n—k—r—n. I don’t know if such an example contributes to the article, and it may be better to just remove it. However, if the example is mentioned – and in its current form, I’d like to see a reference to a source naming the root s—n—k—r—n; as far as I know Hebrew has no true quinqueliteral roots, and a more correct representation of the root of this word is s—nkr—n. 2A02:8109:9200:7F58:9CE3:55B9:EF31:20B2 (talk) 14:35, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
