External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Gerrit W. Gong. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20070701230719/https://assess.byu.edu/webapp/assess/content/page/people/gerrit_gong.htm to http://assess.byu.edu/webapp/assess/content/page/people/gerrit_gong.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Gong's Service in the Presidency of the Seventy
[edit]Hello again, everyone! Although I recognize that Gong's assignment to the Presidency of the Seventy was announced in October 2015, the cited source, along with this one noted that he would only begin active service in that assignment on January 4 (which, I assume, was to give him time to wrap up all his assignments as Asia Area President). Should that, in some way, be acknowledged in this article? Just wanted to bring that up for consideration and discussion. Thanks.--Jgstokes (talk) 07:01, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Jgstokes, reference to this has been included in the lower part of the article for some time - perhaps since the time it all occurred. Please see if that responds to accomplish your thought. ChristensenMJ (talk) 00:03, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- ChristensenMJ, thank you. It does, as far as the article in general is concerned. But another question I have is whether it should perhaps be mentioned in the lede paragraph somehow (whether as a parenthetical, or as an endnote of some kind). I know that the goal is to keep the article overview as found in the lede concise, but that is an additional question I had. Thoughts? --Jgstokes (talk) 02:13, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- I personally don't think it needs that detail in the lede. ChristensenMJ (talk) 12:52, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
