The current lead of this article implies that Germany is somewhat of a neutral arbiter between the Israelis and the Palestinians. This, however, is misleading, since German political and administrative elites tend to be profoundly pro-Israel and anti-Palestinian, at least compared to their counterparts elsewhere in Europe. The article on East_Germany–Palestine_relations summarizes Germany's stance much more frankly, and provides three separate sources for the following claim: "The resultant Germany has a pro-Israel and anti-Palestinian foreign policy."
