Hi, I think that Czech Germans weren't only under pressure to adapt Czech society. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bene%C5%A1_decree absolutly most of them were displaced, theirs property was confiscated etc..

I do not think it is correct to say they remained despite the eviction order. Officially, only Germans who were not able to prove they were fighting Nazis had to go (kind of presumption of guilt). Of course, in reality the situation was different and many anti-fascists Czech-Germans had to go or were harassed or even killed simply because they had a nice house or for some similar reason.--Jirka6 05:00, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
