At the time of the commissioning of U 312 my father Kurt-Heinz Nicolay had the rank "Oberleutnant zur See" . He was advanced to the rank "Kapitänleutnant" on 01.02.1944. If no objection appears i´m going to change that the next days. Rolf Nicolay (talk) 21:16, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
