No mention of the "Laconia Incident"?

[edit]

KaptLt's Hartenstein's actions after the sinking of the Laconia would have a major effect on the course of submarine warfare for the rest of the war and should be mentioned at least in passing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.152.62.58 (talk) 22:01, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ambiguous

[edit]

The article says "Only one crewman was lost due to action with the enemy." The whole crew died when she was sunk by depthcharge. Was that encounter with a flying boat not "action with the enemy"? Moriori (talk) 02:02, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Various

[edit]

Amongst other copyedits, I've added 'or tampion' after 'plug' as that is another name for it (the plug) and changed the rather clumsy 'under the command of Werner Hartgenstein' to 'Werner Hartgenstein's command'. I'm still not happy with the intro as there is a lot of repeated info there (No. of ships sunk etc). What do other editors think?
