Naming

[edit]

This article should really be named German Half-Timbered House Road. Framework is not the correct translation. See half-timbered in Merriam-Webster. Oh dear. I see the official web page chose a different translation. How unfortunate. I guess we really can't change the name until they do. imars (talk) 05:13, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

True, or "German Timber-Framed House Road". I have emailed the website to suggest a change; others may want to do the same. All the same, thanks to Edgar Meyer for generating it. Please join the Germany project if you haven't already! --Bermicourt (talk) 11:48, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Definately needs to be half timber. Nkb 3 Aug 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.224.117.164 (talk) 19:27, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The official website has now renamed the road to "German Half-Timbered House Road", probably thanks to you lot :-). So maybe someone could change the awful "Framework Road" in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.142.185.145 (talk) 16:24, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Regional section list

[edit]

Aargh! Just dropped in and got interested in the thing of whether there are 6 or 7 sections and why the map and list did not agree (please see recent article history). But it now seems that the regional sections list is at least in part wrong – take a look at the Blue route on the map and list – and indeed at the official site – it looks like they do not correspond. Now I don't know this topic, nor most of the German areas mentioned. So I am hoping to have a go at it sooner or later but you should not hold your breath; in the meantime, if you know how to sort it out, then please do! I would be delighted to see it edited by someone with the appropriate knowledge. Best to all, DBaK (talk) 09:20, 22 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
