The GSA has given itself an English name: German Sociological Association. Also, I happen to notice that the existing text leads off with an incorrect use of the present perfect tense. Maybe a native speaker could find the time to give this article some copy-editing and redirect it to "German Sociological Association". Wegesrand (talk) 22:27, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
President/chair business
[edit]I tried to follow Glatzer on the president and chair titles but it's not really clear when the transition happened (apparently not for him either since his table is just headed Präsident/Vorsitz.). It does seem clear that the previous version of the article (Tönnies and Freyer as presidents, everyone else as chairs) was incorrect, and it appears that a transition of title happened at some point between Plessner and Dahrendorf.
Quotes for verification:

1955 folgte auf Leopold von Wiese Helmuth Plessner als Präsident.
