The statement currently in the article about the Vanzeir incident is: "Later it was proven that Vanzeir was talking against the referee - and not his opponent Ebobisse - and that his words, although they could be described as somewhat offensive, weren't racial at all." For this, two references are given, both MLS.com and both are dated May 8, 2023. NEITHER MLS article provides a statement supporting this sentence. In fact, both articles go to significant lengths to prove the opposite, both noting that Vanzeir admitted to this and apologized for it.
The statement is not supported by the references, is not a neutral POV, and further, has no bearing on Struber (the subject of the article). I have deleted the statement until such time as an authoritative source can be provided about this AND its relevancy about Struber can be established.
