Proposed deletion
[edit]Koavf, your proposed deletion was so fast (less than 2 minutes), it could make one assume that you have an extensive knowledge of libraries in general and gay-specific libraries in particular. Since "non-notable" invariably implies a degree of judgment, can you elaborate on your reasons for proposing the deletion? -- RayBirks 17:03, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Sure This article is not encyclopedic. If we have this, we might as well have First library with a magazine, Largest library on an island, List of people with two or less ears, etc. Why should we have an article on a library with 14,000 books? It took less than two minutes to read because there is virtually no content, and I find it doubtful there ever will be. -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 18:26, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- The non-notable claim is invalid. Davodd 22:45, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Davodd, for those of us still learning, what criteri(on)(a) did you use to decide the non-notable indication was invalid? I considered removing the "prod" (proposed for deletion) marker on my own but had not yet gotten it together. Reading WP:Notability was only partially helpful. -- RayBirks 23:10, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Okay. The claim about the non-notable claim is invalid. See how we get nowhere when you're flippant? -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 23:53, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Koavf, again for us learners: Did you mean to use only 3 colons for indenting? Your reply seems to be to Davodd and not to myself, which suggests a different indent. (If you make a correction, please correct this comment to follow you.) -- RayBirks 00:23, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- Re: "Davodd" Yes, I was trying to respond to Davodd. That's why I don't like these semi-colons. Ugh. Feel free to re-format this edit however you see fit to make it intelligible and retain its meaning. -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 00:55, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- I recommend reading User:Uncle G/On notability and User:Uncle G/Wikipedia triage. Uncle G 18:47, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

- The non-notable claim is invalid. Davodd 22:45, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- I apologize if my terseness was offensive. On second reading, I would have been offended if it was in response to something I did. User:Uncle G is correct. - Davodd 01:08, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
