- I made mention of it. I'm not sure it's necessary to get into any detail here as readers can just click on the link to the article. Unless there's a reference we can cite that focuses on Georgia Street during the riots, like how much damage was done specifically to Georgia Street businesses, or how it impacted the street etc. then we could add that. Although there is one thing I think should be mentioned.. I recall hearing in the media that it was discovered that Georgia was originally designed to be the main thoroughfare for parades in Vancouver and supposed to be used for other such events, but that the city never actually closed it down before, instead using Granville Street. It could be noted that before the riots after game 7, Georgia St. was successfully used as a public venue for watching the other six games, never having been shut down to traffic before, as it was (that I know of anyway). -- Ϫ 07:28, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
