Precision by Ian Millman, specialist of Georges de Feure : Georges de Feure was not taught by Chéret, nor was he the protegé of Puvis de Chavannes. That he created theatre designs for Le Chat Noir remains to be proven. He did not exhibit at the Munich Secession, did not teach in any capacity at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and did not die in 1928.
