Info on family
[edit]There's been a lot of unsourced activity regarding his background that has been added/reverted of late, so I am trying to find some sourceable material for this. It would be useful to confirm that he was the son of Arthur Knott Woodbridge (1875-1971) of Exeter (as has been suggested by some unsourced edits):

- George Woodbridge was my grandad. He was married to Mary Jowitt and had one son Christopher Knott Woodbridge. His sister was Vera who married Leslie John Lloyd. 2A02:C7C:841C:8200:2903:386B:8FC7:C6F8 (talk) 21:29, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. According to the BMD (https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/information.pl?cite=bsmwe%2FcwRRk1aUPRCHnQvg&scan=1), they married in 1932 in Newton Abbott. It appears that the marriage listed to an Ethel Wooley is for a George Alfred Woodbridge, who was based in Liverpool (https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/information.pl?cite=5fyn%2BWYi97AwhwZJNUWGjg&scan=1), so I have removed it.
