There is an Oral History interview of George W. Housner at Connections: EERI Oral history series vol. 4 http://www.eeri.org/site/images/projects/oralhistory/housner.pdf. I don't know how to include this reference in the main article. But the reference regarding being impressed by S.P. Timoshenko is clearly discussed in the article User:Satish a —Preceding undated comment added 10:44, 5 March 2012 (UTC).
