Spouse(s)?
[edit]Researching a bit online, it appears to be a long-time error to attribute marriages to Leah Demerest and Isabella Bishop McClintock to McLean (and 4 children). I believe this is an error. First, his gravestone in Simsbury is shared with Juliette Goodrich, who is labelled as his wife (You can see a photo at Findagrave). Second, if you look up "Isabella Bishop McClintock" and "Leah Demerest", you will find that those are the names of the wives of Graham Taylor (theologian)! I think there must have been a mix-up in their personal information long ago in some early 20th century biographical dictionary and the error has been perpetuated to this day. And there are some sources which properly list his marriage to Goodrich and not the others, for instance the 1921 Who's Who in the Nation's Capitol.Brianyoumans (talk) 00:47, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
