G. W. Lightband
[edit]It seems there is some confusion between Lightband Sr and his son William (William Lightband (Q114834698), G. W. W. Lightband, often referred to as G. Wm. Lightband Jr and sometimes as W. Lightband, but also as G. W. Lightband). I drafted the following for this bio but I suspect that it was rather his son who is being talked about: "Lightband stood for election to the Nelson Province in the Collingwood electorate in November 1865. Four candidates stood for one seat, and Lightband came last with zero votes.[1]" It seems his son lived in the Collingwood area for a time. Schwede66 20:45, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
