George Learmonth was a paternal ancestor of the family of Lermontov's and of Mikhail Lermontov and in this rolehe got a mention in huge number of research articles. Him and his brother Piter in Polish service was only survived line of Learmonths of Fife. First mention about year 1400 as an individual name Learmont, due to documents from Collection of Sir Robert Douglas of Glenbervie that Learmont was the Laird of Ersiltoun (Earlstone).
